THE BLUE TEAM, CAPTAINED BY JAMES ROBINSON, RUN RIOT IN SOUTH WALES.
The inaugural Tanglwyst Cup took place over 18 - 20 November in South Wales, based at Ty Tanglwyst Farm, Bridgend. The players were blessed with glorious weather for the time of year but unfortunately the golf was anything but glorious for Jenkins and his team. Two consecutive 3-0 drubbings on the opening 2 days were followed up with an equally convincing win in the singles - the reds saved from whitewash by a last gap halve in the final match. Robinson was a worthy winner as Captain and Dave Hoare pipped Dave Mullin to Player of the Year, thanks in particular to his Porthcawl master class.
