RED OF HEAVEN OVERCOME THE ODDS TO WIN A CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH REAL DEAL ON THE KENT COAST.

The 2015 Tanglwyst Cup was played over 12-14 November in Kent, England. With Red of Heaven edging both of the first two days 2-1 it looked like the unthinkable might happen with Real Deal leading in five out of six singles matches during the front nine on a soggy day 3 but just as the light began to fade, the match was closed out by the team in red. It was a year where the pre-match form was flipped on it's head for many as the fancied players of Edwards and Robinson were unable to claim a point between them whilst Stoker and Shirley, with very little practice under their belts, stole the show with three wins each. It would be Shirley who edged the POTY vote, no doubt partly due to the injury that prevented him from playing the 3 months leading up to the competition! King led from the front, both on and off the course, and was a deserved winning captain.
